Pussy Willows in bedded in Nettle Yarn
I can't stop weaving with sticks.
Found these beautiful pussy willows at the florist shop and had to have them.
They are in bedded in Neddle yarn, hand spun in Nepal. Really rugged fiber.
It doesn't flex, very stiff.

Small sparkly tablerunner
I had 10 in x 30 in to weave leftover wrap after the rose project.
I used it to make a small table runner plain weave with sparkly yarn and mohair.
I love texture and here is the outcome. Here is a detail:

Weaving with roses finished
I know it looks weird having the roses in the wrap....
Here is what I learned, Roses even dried ones are not as delicate as it seems. Yes, you have to be careful if you beat, they need to be firmly in place but you can't hit them, otherwise they fall apart. When the piece started rolling unto the front beam, I used bubble wrap just where the rosebud's were. Worked great. Finished the piece and rolled it up again. So far I have only looked once at it since it is finished. Will wait a few weeks, when I have a better perspective and finish it. Might do another one.

Weaving with Roses
I put an 10 inch wide warp on in beige, thinking I had to show something for the purity of roses. I did not include any green, either in warp nor weft and now I regret it. I was so focused on having a strong enough warp, that I did not think of the color.

Remember when last summer I experimented with Saori weaving
which I truly enjoyed. But at the end I had this long piece of fabric with my typical bad salvages and what to do?
It took me a few months before I dared to cut it in 2 pieces. Then a few weeks later, I crochet around it. I had bought these great buttons which I really wanted to use and then I just decided to go wild and make a fun piece of clothing of the 2 pieces of fabric with the buttons instead of sewing.
I truly love the way it feels, kind of light and happy. I love colors and textures - both of which are in the piece.

My subtle lacy shawl
You can't really see, how I used in very slight variations different fibers. I used again saori weaving. Felt totally calm and good afterwards. When weaving becomes therapy.......
